im getting a 85 Trans Am with a junk 305 in it, and my friend has a spare 350 in his shop. im planning on swapping the 305 to the 350. will the 350 bolt right up to the T5 tranny, or are there any unforeseen problems in my future?

The starter. If the 350 doesn't have the inline bolt pattern for the starter make sure you drill one while it's out. Use a 5/16 drill bit and 3/8 tap.

It will drop right in,But if you have a
TPI you will have to get bigger injectors.
If the car came with a T5 trans that starter
will work.Just don't beat on the trans and
no power shifting and you'll be fine so have a ball.

You'll also need a 350 knock sensor.
no, im keeping computers away from this car. the trans am comes with Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, holley dbl pumper with manual choke, headers, and 3 inch exhaust. no computer control whatsoever (thank g0d). that stuff will all bolt right up to the 350, right?

Right! I love not having a computer.
I changed from a 305 to a 350 a month ago. Real smooth install, diden't need to change the starter, but the flywheel was on backwords and it rattled when I started it. I flipped it around today (part that sticks out torwards converter not block) and it starts perfect. The only problem I have is I forgot to get a vacume advance distributer!
Now what to do with all these wires in the engine bay?
