hey jsut wondering.. i just started my build.. and was wondering if some people could give me an estimate on what kind of hp/tq id be looking at for this motor..

its a 350.. bored 30 over..
stock crank.. refurbished rods..
the machine shop said with my domed pistons.. and 76cc heads.. i wud have like 10.5 to 1 compression..
a flat tappet cam.. with .465/.465 lift..
and 441 heads.. that are ported.
edelbrock performer intake.. and 650 carb

 

Sounds almost identical to mine - hp would be a number not worth mentioning

Those 441 heads are terrible - huge chambers. The dometops help, but not enough to write home about. The only thing they get you is the necessity to run 93 octane instead of 87 octane.

But - after a 305 TBI, it's a greatly increased kick in the butt - do like myself and enjoy it for a while, and save some bucks for a better head setup to make some respectable hp numbers.

 

Well I can run diff heads. Something with smaller chambers. But honestly what's the hp. Just a guess I don't really care cause its a budget build so I'm not expecting much. Its just something to drive for a month before I ship out to san diego for the military
