where can i find a blower (that fits under a hood with 3" additional clearance) for TBI if i decide not to go to TPI..?

 

well it sounds like you are looking for a root style blower i think the 144 procharger will work if i remember corectly i am just thinking off the top of the head i dont know if it will fit under the hood though, my tbi unit will not even fit under my hood with the preformer rpm intake, adapter plate, holley unit, and edelbroke pro-blow, so i really dont know how it will fit.

 

Only way to keep blower under hood with TBI is using an ATI or Vortec style blower. I know ATI makes a kit for TBI trucks which should be adaptable to the cars. They should be able to tell you what obstacles you would run into.

 

Doesn't Whipple make a kit that will work on TBI cars?

 

It won't fit under the stock hood.
