Buying Engine Block

Does anybody know where I can buy a 400 small block for under $1000? I want a 1 pc rear seal, and preferably a 4 bolt, but 2 bolt will work. Any websites will help too!

There are no 1-piece seal 400 blocks.

Sure there are. World Products new Motown block. Available in one-piece. A grand won't get you the block, though, even bare.

The 2 bolt block has a stronger webbing then the 4 bolt block. Try to get a 2 bolt block and put splayed 4 bolt caps on. If your going to make good power, that's the best way to control it. There was never a 400 from the factory with a one piece seal, because it wasn't invented back then.

Good luck finding a good one, I spent a long time looking for one and paid a small fortune for just a bare block with lots of corrosion!
