I have a 1982 berlinetta v6 with a 4 speed standard transmission and i am putting in a 1987 350 tpi. The question is will the same 4 speed transmission from the v6 fit on the 350??

 

Cut down the input shaft or use one from a V8 car and it will in conjunction with the V8 bellhousing. Unless its a T-10 it wont live very long (V6 and most V8 cars got old saggy)

Dont forget you will need some sort of interface for the speed input. The berlinetta is most likely electric so you may luck out and not have to change anything

 

'82 Berlinetta did not have digital dash.

 

If it's a saginaw trans,it's not as awful as it could be.They are far from a Muncie,but they will stand up to a fair bit of whoopin'.Just know that down the road,sooner or later you'll be hunting a T-10.I'd trust a saginaw 4 speed over a T-5.
