i bought a 92 firebird v6. i have a 2004 ford f150 with a 5.4 v8 and im thinking about putting in the 5.4 into the firebird and junking the f150. does anyone think itll fit?

and if it doesnt what do you think i can possibly do to the v6 to make it faster?

Re: 1992 firebird engine swap

Differing from the normal SBC, BBC, LT1, LSx swaps generally increases costs exponentially because information and swap parts are not available. Its not to say its impossible, just dont expect it to be a cake walk compared to the normal swaps

Easiest way to make the V6 fast is to sell it and buy a faster car, be it V8 third or whatever. A conventional swap like above will be the best route if you must keep your 92. The sale of your F150 should cover a good bit of the swap if not all of it (LT1)
