Quick question about lt1 head swap on 350

Hello all, I'm preparing a build to go into my camaro. I building a 383 and am putting lt1 heads on it. I plan to run an intake manifold and a holley. My question is since I need to run a manifold specific for those heads, is that manifold any taller than the one on my car now? I plan on running the tallest one possible but I find it very difficult to search for this topic.

I'm sure this has been answered once or twice before but I cant find the answers I need on search, can anyone answer this fast? There is a manifold for sale locally, its an air gapper and that the one I want.

i cant say for sure but i think that coolant passages in lt and sbc heads are different i know the coolant passages between the heads and intake are different. id look into that a little bit before running lt1 heads. if you want a cheap alum try the patriot heads. ive got a couple friends using them and they like them a lot

Putting Gen II LT1 heads on a Gen I 350 block is an exercise in machine shop expense (and that's assuming they know what to do).

A set of Vortec type heads with corresponding intake manifold will give you all of the benefits of the LT1 heads with none of the machining expense.
