thinkin of swappin in a 400sbc into my 83 camaro with the t-5.
i know the 153 tooth flywheel for the conversion is like 300$$ so i was wondering if anyone tryed this?
and i know the 168 will not work in my bellhousing!

It can be done and several have on here, you need a balancing plate for that flywheel tho. also the bigger issue is the T5 trans maynot hold up to that much torque and power, they were rather weak which is why most are running an auto or swapped to a T56. please use our system here you will be quite surprised at what you find.

 

i know the search but my question is that has any one used that plate with the 350 fly wheel.

i plan to go to the t56 but i am trying to get it on the road right now.

 

I used that plate for my 468 BBC and a 153 tooth flywheel. but blewout the clutch pullin a heavy trailer before I put that engine into my T/A with an auto.
