TPI bolted to a Vortec crate engine # 12530282 with Hot cam? Looking for something reliable with decent power.

That engine can't take the Hot Cam lift, even with 1.5:1 rockers. At a minimum, you're going to need new valve springs, and probably have to pull the heads to have the top of the guides cut for more valve travel.
Scoggin-Dickey already did the groundwork; upgraded the Vortec heads for the lift, LT4 Hot Cam with 1.6:1 roller rockers, Vortec TPI base, aftermarket runners, 52mm TB, long tube headers, and made 360 HP (gross flywheel HP).
