Car: 1987 Firebird, Dad bought it new
Engine: 5.7L Vortec w/ LT4 Hot cam
Transmission: 700r4 transgo shiftkit 2600 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.42 '02 SS 6 spd rear
l98 spyder> vortec spyder?
mods sorry if this is in the wrong section and place put it where it should be...
i just got a vortec longblock and its missing the spyder i have one from a 90 L98 and i wanna kno if it will work i have heard that they changed them in the later blocks, the vortec is a 99 4 bolt thanks for the help

Both engines used the '638' block, from what I remember... the retainers should interchange?

ok i read somewhere that they were different im just gonna test fit tomorrow ill post what happens

yeah it works fine, but i read a couple places where ppl had problems with it so i had to be sure
