What would you do?

Im gonna ask one more time to see if I can get some help making my mind up. I have a 86 z28 that is a shell. No motor or trans. I got a good ponti 455 and turbo 350. I also have the indian adventures mounts to mount ponti in third gen. The 455 needs to be gone through because its been sitting for years. On the other hand i have a complete tpi setup (intake, plenum, distributor, harness, and ecm). Should i use the ponti that i already have or sell it and go with a chevrolet 350 and 700r4.

Re: What would you do?

Economically you'd be better off w/ 350. By the time you go through the 455, and get all of the accessories you need, exhaust, dist, pulley drive sytem, etc. You'll spend alot of $. This is not to mention the headache of getting your wiring straight and all of the time it will take to make the 455 work.
On the other a hand the 455 would be a challenge, and unique. It's your call. I'd be interested to hear other opinions on this issue?

Re: What would you do?

Yes, the 455 seems more interesting. But the reality of it does point to the SBC. If you do use the 455, then junk the stupid TH350 and get an '86-'89 200-4R.
