Swapping 3.1 to 5.7
Hey guys,
I own an 92 191cui Firebird and a friend of mine has crashed his 92 350cui GTA.
I have bought the car from him and wanted to swap the engine, tranny, axle and so on to my car.
Do I have to change the complete wiring harness from the interior? I have already catched the engine wiring harness from ECM to the big connector at the drivers side (next to the brake power booster) from the car incl. ECM.
Is it possible to plug in the 350ci harness into the connector for interior harness at my 191ci and everything will work?
Both cars (!) have the same equipment (A/C, GFX Package, Fog lights, trunk motor, Ultima Seats and so on.
Is there anything different? Plug and play or do I have to remove both interior wiring harnesses and build in the 350ci into my car?
Thanks for answers!

Re: Swapping 3.1 to 5.7
welcome!
the body wiring *should* have stayed the same between the two vehicles since they are the same body & year, but double check the wiring colors at the c207 pigtail (psgr side under the dash. clear on one side, black on other side of connector).
great source for vehicle wiring schematics:

Thank you! Can anyone second that?
If so, I will let go of the wiring, if anyone says that it IS different, i'll have to dismount that completely... :P
Unfortunately the Bird looks now like that:

Would be an adventure to dismount the body wiring.
The Junkyarddealer will fetch the Bird at Friday. Until then I need to be sure.
Greetings,
Oli
Wow, my english has rusted bad... A few years out of school and nearly everything is gone!
