350 carb swap
would this TPI block fit with my holley carb and edlebrock intake with no adjustments? http://www.chevy-350-engines.com/chevy-engine-246.html
my car is an 89 firebird formula with a (recently) blown 350 in it due to over speed. im just not sure how much it would take to put this block in with out the TPI system and a carb system instead, any help would be great

Re: 350 carb swap
1) Intake may have different bolt hole angle - might have to drill the intake holes to match the angle - there's a ton of threads here about it
2) You'll need to change fuel pressure - you'll either have to
a) drop tank, swap fuel pump out for a carb pickup, and use a mech pump on block
b) drop tank, swap fuel pump out for a carb pickup, and use external electric carb pump
c) leave pump in tank, and use a Mallory 4309 regulator (or equivalent return-style reg)
3) You'll have to get a HEI vac advanced dist
4) You'll need a new TV cable from a carb or TBI car
5) You'll need a geometry corrector for the TV cable to carb connection
6) You'll need a method of locking the torque converter (sticky in carb forum)
7) You'll need a new throttle cable bracket
8) You'll need a fan controller for your fans
