i have a 305 with 157xxx miles on it...i belive it does. it has a little tapping noise. i want to fix it but idk. i want some power under my feet. i am recently trying top get it back on the road----------> link

my friend has the motor, and he is selling it for 500 bucks. it is a 87' corvette motor, some top end work(not sure what it is) it is a tpi though. it comes with the computer too
i have TBI, and it is TPI. do i have to change fuel pumps or anything it if it a different pressure. also what else would i need to put the motor in my car"??????????????

The stock TBI in-tank electric pump can't supply the pressure and volume TPI needs. However, many aftermarket outlets sold the TPI pump as a replacement for TBI as well (which is just fine). So, whether or not you need to replace the pump depends upon whether your pump was replaced sometime in the past with a TPI pump.
Most likely, with 157k miles, the pump has been replaced. But, about the only way to know what pump is in it (unless you have first-hand knowledge) is to drop the tank and see what it is. By the time you get that far, you might as well replace the pump with a new one.

i found out the pump has never been replaced. how much does one of these go for.
