sb 400 in 83 camaro z28
I bought a project and it is kinda basket case. It came w/ a 400 sb chevy out of last owners 81 camaro, a t5 tranny that was coupled to a 327 in the 83. I have a 168 tooth flywheel w/ no weights on it. Can i use the t5 on the 400 and if so is there a bell housing that will fit over the bigger flywheel. Also should i look for a weighted flywheel or get a balance plate for the one i have. Any info is appreciated the more i look at parts the more stuff i find that wont mate up.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
The simplest, and probably the least expensive, solution would be to get an external balance 153-tooth 2-piece rear main seal flywheel.
And, unless you baby it, get proficient replacing T5's.
