engine list?

im looking to swap out my 305 for a 350 is there a list of recommended engines anywhere is a carburator engine just as good as a electronic? im kinda lost when it comes to this kinda stuff. i have a tendancy to buy stuff then realize when i have the car halfway apart that its the wrong peice

The list would depend on how strictly the smog laws are enforced in your area and how much money you have to spend.

im not sure about the smog laws in arizona, and money i wanna keep it close to or less than 2.5k 3k tops
