help quick please

Hey guys i recently got screwed on a 350 tpi deal but besides the point i have a 305 tpi 87 camaro i found a 1989 Chevy 350 motor out of a 2500 pickup for sale it is a fuel injected motor. can i put my tpi intake on the 350 motor from my 305 even though its 305 and 350 and the 350 was not tpi but just fuel injected? also i dont know if the computer was ever changed when the kid removed the 350 form my car and put in the 305 but if he did do i need to change the computer? any advice on this swap would be helpful

Your TPI will go on the 350 shortblock, no problem. Expect to change the knock sensor, maybe the injectors, and do some computer work to get it running optimally.

Opening it up and inspecting it wouldn't be a bad idea as long as it's already out of the car. If everything measures ok, you could just hone it and put it together with a new set of rings and bearings. If it needs something more than that, then the time to find out about it is now.

Re: help quick please
