My 305-350 build/swap
i know it has been done thousands of times but i wanted to record my first motor swap project.
receiving car: info on the left/sig
donor car: 89 formula 350
we pulled it with the help of his friend today.
i plan on doing a rebuild with a cam for street driving.
i will do a lot of searching, just making a list to help myself keep track of questions/issues i need to figure out like:
-I pulled the entire engine harness out of the donor car just in case, need to figure out if i need it; or just the computer
-I know i will need to use the intake manifold off the 89 due to the bolt pattern difference....plenum should be the same as the 86 though?
-the v-belt set up off of the 86 should bolt up to the 89 motor right?
-will i need a vacuum reserve for a mild street cam?
-will add more later as they arise
few pics from the removal:
brother did the prep work getting it ready for removal while i was at work all day saturday.

car is too far gone to restore...not worried about the hood on the roof or the latch resting on the windshield lol.

brother, his friend who supplied the hoist, and dad taking a break from yard work to watch us

was not my idea to lift from the alternator bracket...yes it cracked. rushed to get it on the stand lol.

for viewing, will update with progress once i have more money
