305 TBI to TargetMaster 350
well i was checking my fuel pump last week and while pulling out my tank i ended up having to pull the rearend. no big deal. so in the process i put in a 10 bolt posi with 2.73s and discs. turned out great. so then my TBI was giving me problems so i was gonna put a carb on it and decided ill get a 350. so i found a targetmaster 350 thats supposed to have around 330 horsepower so thats going in. im almost ready to pull the 305 just gotta unbolt the tranny since the torque converter is un bolted and the motor mounts and it will be out. ill keep you all up to date and post some pics cause who doesnt love pics!

Didn't see this when you first posted.
Targetmaster - don't hear that much anymore. Probably more like 225 HP. Flywheel gross, not the flywheel net that your TBI was rated at 170 HP.

Well seems like awfully decent time compared to my swap which has been going on for god knows how long. Still have yet to put it in the car xD

Unless it's had a cam change, I stand by my previous power estimate. Even with a better cam, the heads and low compression will hold it back mightily.
Not trying to be a wet blanket, just realistic. The L69 had as much power as the Targetmaster 350, and the LO3 is pretty close.
