so i just swapped my stock 305 for a .030 over 350 everything seamed to be going fine but now i have no power steering since the swap i used the serpentine setup from my 305 for now but put on a new power steering pump (for a 305 to fit accessory brackets dont know if there was a difference anyway) anyway the fluid flows through on the high pressure hose when disconnected from the gear box (which i have also now replaced) but i still have no power steering i have let the motor idle in the driveway for at least 20 mins and test drove it to rule out air lock but still no luck any idea what the problem could be as far as i know the only electronics on the power steering system is the pressure sensor for idle bump right?

305 was tbi 350 is carb with hei dizzy ecm isn't being used for any engine control im at a loss any suggestions would help

have you gone ALL the way to both locks on both sides? usually the one I have doesn't become "active" until then.

 

yep several times even put it on jack stands and went lock to lock for a good five min straight and no luck

 

sounds like a clog in the line some where. even a bad pump will pump something.
