Need help, l98 with tbi heads
Ok my block is 14093638 , it's out of a 89 vette, I didn't get the head with it but I've had the 193 tbi heads on it for the last 4 years and the car runs real good. I'm pulling the motor soon and I have some camaro 601 305 heads, I'm wondering what everyone thinks about swapping the 193 heads for the 601, if anyone can help me that would be sweet, the motor is in an 87 ss Monte Carlo with 3:73 gears, my camaro is next to work on lol. If anyone needs any more info I would glad to help

To be honest with you, I don't know why they didn't put the 193's on TPI 350's. They would seem to be a good complement to each other.
Putting the 601's on would raise compression significantly. In order to use them, you should probably replace the pistons with more dish.
I'd keep the 193's, as long as you didn't change the cam to one with more than .450" lift (the swirl intake ports don't flow any more above that), and didn't upgrade the TPI hardware to handle more than 5500 RPMs.

Well which ever heads I pick I'm wanting to port them and clean them up and I know the 193 heads work good with this motor cause I've enjoyed it the last few years, I'm wanting to put some 1.6 roller rockers on the heads to with an air gap intake, do you think that will be a good set up,
