84 z28 camaro?

I have a 84 z28 camaro and I was wonder what would be the best turbo for the car and how much money it would cost me to buy the engine is a 305 I have a 5 speed tranny and a custome exaust on the care already I also have a corvet carb and air intake that I haven't put on yet idk if that will make any diff in horse power or not?

You're going to need low compression forged pistons to do that, and you'll need to either fabricate your own kit OR buy one made for a smallblock. Your current carb will also not work, and you can expect to pay $1,000 for a blowthru carb unless you want to convert to fuel injection. Then you'll need better heads to take advantage of the turbo and you can expect to pay $500+ for a good set of heads.

Running power-adders is not cheap if you want it done correctly. I guess you could fabricate a "kit" using a junkyard garrett turbo, but don't expect a massive amount of power.

Basically, it's not going to be cheap. If you want "cheap", run a N/A motor with bigger cubic inches than what you have now.

Is it cheaper to run the fuel injection then a carb and what's the diff between the to is one better then the other

your also gonna need fuel mods an a way to tune if you go fi . theres is all the info you need on this forum to build a turbo motor but it's not a good beginner project .you'll need to learn an understand a/f ratoi's an timing curves . it will help also if you have fabercation skills or at least friends that do . good luck tho i'm turboing my 92 camaro my main advise is study study study so you don't waste money poking an hoping .
