Swapping 350's, will this fit??
What all will I have to do to get this older 350 to fit in my 89 formula? the only thing i can see is that the older 350's before the vin 8's had the air conditioner and alternator on seperate sides and only one hole on one head and three on the other, which my car had 3 holes on each. I'm not sure what it will take, but here's the link for the older motor...ANY help is appreciated.. thanks!!

It should work anyway if you are using his brackets/accessories. Your serpentine setup probably wouldn't work (if you had one). You can always just make new brackets and use your accessories.

2 piece rear main vs 1 piece. Also you can use ur serpintine belt setup you just won't be able to use one bolt. Do a search on google I had seen an article about gmpp doing a test without it and it didn't have any effect when not being abused. Yes it will fit yes it will work however for 1400 id buy a gmpp block that has a 3 year warrenty and isn't much (for a long block) and has the holes you need already

"202 heads" is meaningless. Ask him for the casting numbers from the heads. If they end in "882" or "624", offer him half what he's asking, because those heads are junk. They are also the most likely to be "202". If he doesn't know the casting #'s, ask to go look at it with the valve covers removed and get them yourself.
Get the block casting number while you're at it.
What engine and induction do you have now? What are you planning to use the car for?

I plan on using the car for street and some strip. I know i won't pay 1400 for this, but if i can get him lowered im trying to figure it out if itd be worth it. I'm waiting for a reply on the casting numbers.

I think your biggest concern will be the switch from externally balanced to internally balanced. Everything else is simple.
