I have an 85 Trans Am I am thinking of changing over to a L98 out of a Corvette can some tell me if this is a easy swap? or should I persue a different power source?
More info on the engine I am looking to aquire it a 86 L98 with 52k with all wiring ecm it also comes with the 700R4 trans and it is the aluminium head model out of a vette. Will I be able to use the oil pan that it somes with and is there any kind of engine or motor mount issues?

I don't have personal experience with the Vette engines, but from what I understand, the oil pan will not work in a 3rd gen f-body. Since your 305 is an '85, and the Vette is an '86, you have different rear main seal types, which I believe means the pans won't swap. You shouldn't have trouble finding a pan and oil pump/pickup that fits the 350 and your chassis, though.
