difference in swaping from a v6 and v8
difference in swaping from a v6 and v8
I was just curious what(if any) are the difference in swapping an lt1 motor and trans in a original v6 car compared to an original v8 car?
Sorry if its confusing. I didnt know how to write it exactly

I'll assume you have a V6 car, and are considering swapping in either a Gen I small block Chevy, or an LT1.
Swapping in the LT1 would require everything you would have to do to swap in a Gen I SBC, plus what you would have to do to hook up an LT1 regardless of what engine the car originally had. So, the LT1 swap would be a bit more involved.
But arguably worth it...

Re: difference in swaping from a v6 and v8
Well, I have a v8, but ive fallin in love with the lt1 swap haha and I dont have enough funds rite now to do it.
So I was thinking of selling mine and maybe getting one for cheaper and then doing it. I was looking on craigslist and saw a v6 third gen. Im not exactly sure of the year I knew I wasnt buying it. But it got me thinking, since it has a v6 maybe there was something different needed to been done. Compared to if I kept my v8 camaro
Sorry, itt was a spur of the moment question and after thinking about it ive decided not to. Now this question is just for personal knowledge.
