HELP CRACKED BLOCK AROUND DIPSTICK HOLE

hi everyone im new here i have an 86 iroc i just pulled the engine out the guy who had i t before me put in a 350 crate casting number 3970014 ok everything is fine but on the passenger side where the dipstick goes into the block its cracked it was jb welded and no leaks is there anything behind there i should worry about besides that the block is perfect and i really dont want to change it if i dont have to

You need to RE-JBWeld it the RIGHT way... OR put new metal over it.

Normally a "Crack in the block"is a bad thing, and JB-Weld if dome right is good stuff, but maybe an ACTUAL weld, infusion of new metal.

Ihope it can be saved, the block is pretty serious.
