iv got an 84 camaro z28 with a carbed 305, witch isnt doin so good, and i have a 92 pickup im scrapping with a tbi 350, i was wondering if swapping the intake and carb from the 305 to the 350 would work, and if the fuel pump would bolt up to the efi engine

Re: engine help?

Mechanical pump might or might not work - depends on wether the 92 truck motor has a fuel pump hole in the block, if the cam has a fuel pump lobe, etc. But no reason why an external electric pump can't be installed close to the gas tank.

And yes, the carb would be fine, and the best route to go. If the 92 truck motor is vortec heads, you'll need another intake, otherwise your inatke will be fine (might have to elongate the center 4 holes on the intake to match the heads - some heads have a different angle on the center 4 intake bolts, but nothing a drill can't do for you.

All blocks have the pump mounting pad ; late EFI blocks don't have the pump pushrod hole drilled
My Vortec block has no hole , but my '94 truck block does
