350 vs 400
Well I've been toying with the idea of a motor swap and I'm starting to get more ideas and have narrowed it down to two. Thanks to a friend of mine I can either get a 350 thats already been bored .030 over or a 400 for free
We're gonna be tearing into them soon to make sure that the internals aren't damaged. Apparently the 400 might need a rebuild but I'm not 100%. Either way I'm going to go over and it and build it so I can be around 300 horse to the wheels. So I'm just looking for opinions on what you guys think. I'll also be keeping the tpi setup but throwing a HSR or something along those lines on. So let me know what you guys think!!

Between the 2 I'd recommend the HSR for a 400.
Shouldn't be too hard to get to 300 at the wheels with that.

Re: 350 vs 400
Keeping the tpi on either engine you will need to get a custom tune on your computer. If it were a near stock 350 it would be easier, but since both motors are diffrent from stock then either on will do, they will take the same amount of effer to use the TPI IMO. If you go with the 400 go with a 5.7inch rod of 6inch rod, its a polpular change and fairly cheap.

Make sure the 400 has the right starter holes for a 3rd gen starter if thats what your gonna use... mine didnt

If not get a hole drilled.

Ya but the 400 starter i think is for a 168 flywheel, and im pretty sure the 168flywheel dosent fit in the t56 bellhousing. I tried.. and if it did i would have my engine assembled already -_-
