tpi to carb air condition question.
so i have a 350 carb engine. it use to be a 305 tpi. i went compleatly old school. single harness, no emmisons, v-belt set up. my motor was a 1977.
i want to put my ac back in, my questions are,
-1 it was a serpintine belt, now im v- belt.
-2 i dont have the old parts, been years since swap, but air box is still intact on firewall with componets in it.
-3 i have my 1 wire alt on the pass side, (where the old ac compressor was)
now with the research i have done, the older 1985 tbi compressors are on the drivers side.
could i just go to the junk yard, pull out the ac from a older camaro and install?
or if i get a brand new compressor built for a 1977 motor, will it work with all the 1992/1986( or what ever driver side year in junk yard i could find.) componets.
i know if i keep the tpi 1992 set up i would need to put alt on drivers side...
- do they have the brackets for that?
- do they make a V- belt compressor for it?
Last questions, if i get the ac from a 1985 camaro, driver side compressor, would the factory lines in that ac work with my set up.
i just dont know if i use all 85 stuff, and my exsisting 92 stuff, if it would work. i just dont know anything about air conditioning
any suggestions would help! thanks!

Re: tpi to carb air condition question.
With no serp brackets, you'll have to use the older v-belt stuff from a pre-1988 camaro.
