Engine code....again
Alright say what you want i know from searching this is a touchy thread to start, anyway just for the sake of curiosity i wanted to check the numbers on my motor, front pad on the pass side reads V0909PAA, googled, nothing, searched, nothin, googled decoders, nothing.... im lost and i cant seem to get to the number on the back of the block, cant get it clean to read it
any info would be awesome, and i tried :"mortec.com", no website apparently

Yeah, Mortec died somehow.... 
Don't think they had those stampings anyway, but I could be wrong.
Anyway:
Can't find a PAA; but DAA is a 78 305 2-bbl out of the Flint engine plant on the 9th day of month 9. Sounds alot like the droppings in my 78 El Camino.
Yeah, pretty useless, as is usual for those codes...

Yeah its got me pretty confused, and its a PITA to even get a look at the back, letalone clean it off to read it, I did find out however that my motor is just bare metal no paint on it lol
