Reusing Computer Controlled Parts From a 305 in a 350

Hi everybody I have been reading through here for a bit and have a question regarding an engine swap I am about to do. I purchased a 1986 chevy suburban 3/4 ton 4 speed with a 2 bbl. I have an 83 trans am with a computer controlled qjet. In order to save money I was planning in taking the computer distributor, carb, o2 sensor and intake from the 305 and putting it on the 350 as a stopgap measure. Would this work? Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris
