Stroked 350 or 02 LS1

I recently got a 86 Firebird Trans AM. I was looking for a car where the body and interior was in good shape and I found it. I have a stroked 350 to 383 carb that is pushing 400 hp at the flywheel and can handle 700 hp or a LS1 out of a 02 Camaro. Does any suggestions? Pro's and con's to both? The trans am has a 305 carb in it now, trying ti minimize the amout of additional parts I am going to have to change out. Obviously I will be changing out the tranny and putting in a moser 12 bolt posi to handle the upgraded hp and tourque.

if you are trying to minimize parts then go stroker. your pulley's and water pump and everything will work. The ls1 would be cooler, more fuel efficient. Unless you were going to carb it.

the 383 will be a quicker swap to do with less parts needed, but the LS1 has tons of potential with much better street manners and fuel efficiency.
