Im all searched out....someone help me 89 tbi to 92 tpi
So after hours of searching and combing thru threads (back to 01!!) I am posting my questions lol I dont really need the dont do it posts, just the informational ones
So ive built myself and l98, lt1 cam, etc etc, Ive got the full 92 speed density harness, 730 ecm, and a memcal with some good home treatment and modifying with an AUJP burnt to the EEPROM, Going over all this in my head i came up with a few questions
First off, repinning my harness....necessary? At all? I have to take another look at my harness i bought from thirdgenranch but i think it ends at the bulkhead. If i need to re pin no big deal just tell me what goes where and its done, harness is a 90-92 speed density, car is an 89 tbi 305
VSS.....this added to my search rampage, IS THERE A SOLUTION>? The ecm i have has the yellow deal on it (told this is VSS) how do i tie this into my current setup so my ecm can see my speed? Im pretty sure without a VSS signal its gonna run like a turd
I just need answers here, ive searched for a swap thread but none are exactly what i need, if ANYONE can give me a step by step deal i would bbe ETERNALLY grateful i want all the kinks worked out before this thing goes underway.
TIA

There are quite a few wires that are different on the bulkhead connector that would require repinning, however the VSS feeds to the same connectors but goes to the buffer box that needs to be moved to the ECM since the buffer box is not used with the '7730 ECM. (ppl & yellow wires go to B9 & B10 of the ECM) (the Brn & Red from the buffer go to B11 & C1) You will need the wiring diagram of the '7730 if you don't already have it.
Find a printout of the two C100's (bulkhead plug) pinouts to see what goes where.

alright, so just match wire for wire and make it look like the tpi diagram, easy enough, now just to be clear and I repinning the ecm side of the c100 or the engine harness side? I think your right on the buffer box, I have multiple ecms stacked around and the external box was on my 7165
