Sourcing roller block lifter parts
Sourcing roller block lifter parts
I'm working on a 350 that was pulled from a 1995 3/4 ton. The blocks bosses ARE machined to accept the spider/dogbone setup as well as the cam retainer plate. I plan on going with a roller set-up, but am having trouble with parts.
I've posted WTB adds on LS1tech and some other forums, searched eBay, called local wrecking yards.. maybe my keywords are just crappy. Where can I find the spider/dogbones/cam retainer?

If you're wanting used parts, then the spider can come from any '87-up car SBC, or any '96-up pickup SBC. The lifters, dogbones and pushrods can come from those, or from any '87-up 4.3L V6. The front thrust plate depends on the hole spacing of your block, there have been 2 different measurements.
If you're wanting all new parts, then get the LS7 lifters, and Summit 150121.

Be aware the factory used two different bolt spacings for the cam retainer plate. My block had the narrow bolt spacing and my cam plate had the wide spacing - I was able to elongate the holes so the plate fit, but if yours are the other way around, you'll probably have to get the other plate.
