Major issues

hey im Dan i have an 88 iroc-z this past weekend i did a engine swap i went from tbi 305 to a tbi 350.. im having major issues... motor is in and running it will hold an idle but thats about as far as it goes... its got a cam intake full exahust. the problem i am having is that cyl. #5 and #7 are dead .. timing is right 4 degrees advanced.. firing order is correct... i checked numerous times... the motor was rebuilt and the heads were done.. im trying to narrow down possibilites but dont really know were to turn at this point... if anyone has any info regaurding this please feel free to let me know any info will help at this point

Timing should be 4 degrees before tdc not advanced 4 degrees start off there first

Please explain to me the difference between "4 degrees BTDC" and "4 degrees advanced".

Firing order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Switching 5 & 7 on the distributor cap would kill both cylinders.

LOL ther is no noticeable difference not to mention the fact that 2 dead cylinders isnt because of timing before or after top dead center

see ive gone over the firing order numerous times im going to make sure its not just the wires because they could be bad i will cross 5 and 7 and see what happens if no change either way i do a compression test and if there is none i need new heads really wt that point but thats what i dont get the motor was done top tp bottom
