350 vortec w/ t5?????
I'm bout to swap a 350 vortec in place of my 305 tbi, it has a wc-t5, anyway it could handle the power and torque of the 350? Im not going to be driving too hard right off.... It'll be a stock 98-99 350, with a mild cam, vortec 4brrl carb intake with adapter, 670cfm tbi, and maybe a slight boost in heads, definitely 1.6 rr.... Think it will handle or should I go t56? Thanks

Drive it with some common sense, and forget about drag radials, and the odds of it holding together will tilt in your favor. That said, toss all your spare change into a piggy bank and put that toward an eventual upgrade.
I've had my T5 in my IROC for a while now (8 or 9 years maybe??) and it's held up beautifully as I've chipped away at my 1/4 mile times, with it now in the 13.6 second range. Real soon that motor's getting a vortec head upgrade and getting put into my GTA, so we'll see how long the T5 holds up after the power upgrade.
