Who's done a MAP TBI to a MAF TPI?

The L98 in my car is from a 85 vette, and when I got it it had the TPI on top, the 85TPI version had a 9th injector and MAF. My dad was actually the one who went and picked it up for me since I didn't have a truck anymore. He said it didn't come with a harness or computer which was fine because I had met the the seller multiple times and we never said anything about that. I just blew it off and after the advice of some members kept my TBI for simplicity, and if for nothing else the price of a TPI ECM and harness.
Well this morning I got a call from my dad wanting to know what this box of **** was in his barn. Its the harness and ecm.
So I don't think many people have done this swap, as this tpi is a little different. I may not do it but if somebody else may be able to share their experience I may just go on with it if it'll be simple and easy enough, I mean why not it'll look sick in there lol.
basically I wanna know what ill have to do about sensors and the ecms. If its going to be a pain and cost a bunch more $ ill just sell the TPI, cause with my set up the TBIs been fine so far.

And im not overly familiar with all the ecm is connected to and controls. That may be my real problem here

Ways to go:
Keep the TBI. The '746 ECM in the TBI third gens is similar to the '747 which has a tonne of tuning support.

Go SD TPI. People here have done it with a TPI harness. They've also done it with modding the TBI harness. This is emissions legal for your car and a good system but I personally don't care for the rpm / power limitations of the stock TPI intake.

Ways not to go:
85 TPI. If you're starting with a Vette harness and ECM, the layout will be different for your car. And the 85 has the least tuning support and is the most primitive TPI setup. None of the 85 or 86-89 TPI setups are emissions legal for your car (which you may or may not care about, but some of us have to pass. )

---
If I remember correctly (and it's been years,) the SD TPI harness from a 90-92 is almost completely plug & play into a TBI car. And the fuel pump needs changed. The SD TPI swap would be a solid way to go but I'd swap intake manifolds.

Re: Who's done a MAP TBI to a MAF TPI?

Well I happen to be one of those people who are blessed to not have to even have to think about emmissions lol. But I wasn't looking for sure just to do the swap, just thought I might if I could. I kindahave liked theto idea ofto better mpg and a little more torque but I like my tbi for now and don't wanna spend money on a tpi.

But anyway I read some hotshot article about maf corvettes and it said they don't need as much tuning because the computer had greater leaning capablitiees. I want impressed with the artivle tho because it was all about waking up the L98 and they just completely replace the block cam heads lifters manifold and used a super ram or something. Didn't feel it was right to completely replace everything and call it waking up lol, why I didn't give it a lot of credit
