i currently have a 355 sbc with 9.7 to 1 comp., ported 083 heads with 2.02 1.60 valves and 1.5 rockers, lt4 hotcam, and hsr intake, and was wondering if this motor would be a big difference and if it is worth the money? http://fresno.craigslist.org/pts/2758558492.html
Im trying too get into the mid to low 11 second quarter mile and the first combo isnt doing it for me.

That engine almost seems too cheap, unless it has been whooped on pretty hard.It almost has that stuck together out of spare parts aura about it.
I'm always leary of buying from someone I don't know or have a trusted aquantance who knows them.
If your 355 is in good health and has a quality rotating assembly,$2500 would go a long ways towards a better top end.Cubic inches are always king, but a well thought out camshaft/cylinder head combo should make enough power to get you into the 11s,assuming the rest of the car is properly set up.
