Can I rin stock P/S box without a pump? Ls swap ? inside.

Im swapping a LS into my 82 Z. Im not going to run any power steering pump. I was wondering if it was possible to just loop the power steering hose on the box with it full of fluid and this would be a 'manual' steering box. Is this possible?
A) I know there are easier ways of doing this
B) I know it will be a bear to steer
C) I just want to know if this is POSSIBLE?????

I did just this on my old Ventura, for years. I just made up a special hose to loop from in to out to keep the crap out (there is better ways to do this but likely not cheaper than a hose clamp).

Once moving it was easy to steer, stationary it was terrible.
