Engine Hp Guesstimate help

Hey I'm inbetween engines at the moment and if the deal for a 377 doesnt work out I'm wondering about how much power the engine I have, has. It's a pre 86, probably around a 1982 Suburban Engine. Its a plain jane 350 with now work done to it but it will have the aluminum intake off my old 305 (came out of a 86ish chevy dually) and it'll have a cross bore holley 600 my dad has had since I can remember, it was the first carb I took apart and put back together successfully. I'll have the casting numbers off of the engine posted later, but I'm just wondering about what HP its got because I searched for a few hours and came up with scratch. Sorry if the post is a little confusing, I'm 15 and in love with my 87 Trans Ams, and Thirdgen.org has been a huge help to me

On a side note how many 87 T/A's came with a digital dash?
Also will my dash hook up to and work with a TH350?

A 350 from an '82 Suburban would have about 170-180 HP.

Why put a TH350 in it?

I believe all 'Birds had digital dashes from '85 on, but I'm no expert on 'Birds.

Other than establishing that it's a 350, that doesn't say much about the power it makes.

Heads, cam, and compression ratio determine what the engine is capable of making. Induction and exhaust, along with heads & cam, determine what it does make.
