can you take the serpentine pulleys from a 305 tbi, and make them work with the l69/lg4 ? will it take any modifications? i know alot of guys with older maros and birds and most of us hate v belts,

Yup. Just make sure you swap the water pump and modify/replace your wiring and a/c hoses to accommodate the new position for the alternator and a/c compressor.
Personally I never had a problem with my v-belt system on my 85, and I even had to deal with fuelie heads that didn't have accessory holes!

Re: v belts to serpentine
come to think of it that alot of the parts in that kit look like the pulleys/brackets on the blown up 3.4 sitting in the basement, wonder if i could use some of it and improvise a system
