Car: 89 iroc z restoring
Engine: from 5.0 to 5.7
Transmission: from Auto to 5spd
5.0 auto to 5.7 5spd swap help
Hey guys, I need a little help. I just had my drive train, from my 87 i-roc w/5.7- 5spd and had it installed into my 89 i-roc which used to have a 5.0 w/ auto. So the swap included (engine, trans, along with their harness). I also swapped the pedals and the E.C.M. once everything was in we got no ignition. We only have lights. Both cars ran before the swap. We then noticed that the 5.7 car had a chip in the key so we swapped the steering column. But how likely is it that we may have to replace the dash harness as well. Or has anyone done this swap and had this problem?? All help is appreciated.
BTW is there and thing that can be purchased that can be added to the harness at the fire wall so the engine can communicate with the computer like they have for LS conversions. if the harness is the issue.

No ign (spark ), no crank or no start?
