sb2.2
Does anyone know if the SB2.2 heads will fit an old school 350 or 400 SBC block? If so what is involved in the making it work correctly like offset lifters, distributor.

Re: sb2.2
I don't know enough about SB 2.2 heads to know whether they can physically work with a conventional block or if they need an SB2 block, but from what little I do know, it's not a "bolt on" regardless. The valve spacing requires a completely unique cam billet with modified lobe spacing. The revised valve angles and positions will require unique pistons as well, and due to the massive flow that the heads have, you should be looking at very large cubic inches or very high rpm in order to utilize any benefit from them over a more conventional set of heads, which of course brings along a whole other set of issues regarding component strength, etc.
And then there's headers...

At an absolute minimum you need a 4.125” bore block with a 4.400” bore spacing.
I’ll revive an old thread, I’ll show you everything to make SB 2.2 heads work and fit in a Third gen Camaro and run fast as heck
