1988 Camaro 4.3L Engine Sway

Hey. New to the site might as well introduce myself, and kinda get some input on my future plans. Livin' down in Brantford Ontario, and have a 88' camaro project. Its as far as me and my dad can tell, a solid car, but doesnt have and engine yet. Lots of potential though .

So we came along a deal though, and now, we are looking to start in the summer with a 4.3L engine swap into the Camaro. The engine is out of a 2000 Chevy X-Treme truck. So we're looking to take the trannie, and motor, with computer wiring and everything we need to try and get this thing running. What's some of your guys input??

^^Title should say swap! srry...

As one of maybe 6 who has actually done a 4.3 install, it's not so challenging if you don't mind the custom exhaust required. Were I doing it now, I'd just order the Advance Adapters 713119s, a bit costly but should save you much hassle. You may have to try other exhaust manifolds, and bear in mind the possibility of manifolds from a mid-'80s Monte Carlo, with either the 4.3 or the externally-identical Chevy 3.8L. If your donor truck has the automatic, then that 4L60E will be a very easy install. But if it's a stick, then it's the NV3500, and you're on your own for trying to use that in your 'maro.
