T-56 Swap. Do they make a bolt-on hyd. clutch bracket?
So I just finished swapping in a t-56 to replace my cooked t-5. The guy i bought the transmission off of already had it in a 1980 camaro so he included in the sale the adapter plate and a keisler 6-71 bellhousing. i ended up using what he gave me and it is all in the car now bolted up nicely. My only problem now is that the bellhousing doesnt have a place that I can bolt the hydraulic clutch cylinder to. I put a picture of a t-5 bellhousing on here to show you the part I need, its the peice that sticks out on the left hand side with two small through holes and the center hole for the clutch rod to go through. Ive been looking online for a bolt on one but I havent had any luck. I was wondering if anyone on here has ever came across what im looking for, or if they have ran into the same problem and had to make their own? Any info is appreciated

The T56 originally uses a slave cyl that bolts to the bellhousing with a spacer, it's a pull type clutch, your T5 had a push style clutch, the slave bolted to the front of it. So the question now is...what type of clutch are you using now?

Whats a 6-71 bellhousing? 6-71 is a blower size designation, do you mean 621?? that's part of the casting number on a chevy 4spd bell for a 11" clutch. Those are all set up for a rod actuated clutch fork. Best you can do is buy a retrofit kit

Don't most of the aftermarket kits utilize the hydraulic throwout bearing? I wonder if that Keisler kit is set up for that setup?

Sorry, my bad. a 621 bellhousing is what I have. So what your saying about the clutch fork I have on there now is that absolutely wont work with a hydraulic slave? And if so, why wont it?
