350 swap questions

I have a 1991 camaro rs that i was planing to put a corvette engine in but its becoming expensive and Im going to try and put a 355 four bolt main into my car while waiting to finish the other motor. Its going to be a mild build because its my daily driver so Interested to find out if i can use the same harness with a 350 computer or not and what type of cam should i use for the tbi to work properly and if i could use the 305 heads i have know or will that raise the compression to much and if so what set up can i use to make good power but still be able to drive it. I already have a 0.30 rotating assembly from jegs but thats all at this point.

Ok that tells me about the heads but what about the 305 wiring harness with the 350 computer and what mild cam i can use to make it act right but give it some power as well with the tbi

Re: 350 swap questions

oh yah and with aluminum heads if i did go with them, have to have a reverse flowing water pump because the heads would expand faster than the block? or is that just for lt1's

Re: 350 swap questions

You'd have to have a reverse rotation pump because the pulley turns backwards on a serpentine belt setup. Nothing to do with aluminum heads.

LT1s run the coolant through the heads before the block by design. Completely different system.

Don't put 305 TBI heads on a 350. The linked thread assumed LG4/LU5/L69/LB9 305 heads.
