I'm doing engine swap from 2.8 1988 camaro with T5 to 305 92' LO3 TBI chevy caprice engine . I have no TBI stuff, so it will be carb (already bought new Holley)

V6 already pulled from the car and my first goal is to install transmission

I have read in this topic https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...5-v6-bolt.html that my v6 t5 can be reused if I'll buy V8 bellhousing, V8 clutch fork, V8 pressure plate, V8 flywheel and 1982 2.8 GMC S15 or Chevy S10 9-11/16" friction disk

but I have some questions

1) How to determine is my 92' 305 SBC was internal or external ballanced and which flywheel i have to buy? 305 was with auto transmission

rockauto.com and ebay have three types of flywheels for 87-92 year:

How to determine is my engine with 1-piece crank seal or with 2-pc crank seal?
Help me to pick right flywheel for my engine pls


2) Can I use friction disk from "V8 Conversion kit" for 82 GMS S10 which available at rockauto as RHINOPAC/WORLD CAR Part # 04054 and have 10-3/8" ?

Or maybe someone have T5 V8 for sale? Or other parts? V8 t5 bellhousing

 

Just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be done.

i've found out that engine is internal ballanced with 1 piece crank seal, i think right flywheel is this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Exedy-OEM-Fl...sories&vxp=mtr or this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ZZZ-50-6527/ for 153 tooth starter

This is my second engine swap by the way. First was 2.8 to 3.1
