stock 305 to a different 305
Hello I put a different 305 in my 86 z28 camaro and i have 6 or 7 sensors that arent plugged in cause i dont have any "smog" on my engine i put in it. I put a edelbrock carb on it, and on the old carb had either 2 or 3 sensors on it and my new carb doesnt have any places to plug in the sensors, and I cant get it to crank. Any suggestions?

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
What do you mean by "can't get it to crank?" Do you mean the starter won't turn the engine over, or that the starter turns the engine over but the engine won't start?
The extra connectors shouldn't have anything to do with either possibility, though.
What distributor did you use? The factory distributor will not work properly with an Edelbrock carb. Personally, I would never take off a factory carb and downgrade to an Edelbrock, but it's not my car or money, so...

No when i go to start it, it wont even try.I'm pretty sure I have the wires hooked up to the starter but im not sure. The distributor worked with the carb when it was in the truck I took it out of so..
