now, I have no idea what the bolt patterns are, but it does say 1-piece seal so i am thinking it is like an L98. (I am not sure! How can we tell?)

Secondly, I see what appears to be compression ratio (8.75:1) and I am thinking to myself... 12psi of boost on 93 octane should give around 500 easy horsepower regardless of how "bad" the heads are.

I'm thinking the only way to capitalize on any mod is to follow the same path as you would with a good set of heads and power adder mods generally have a small cam specific to the power adder in use.The example of a turbo is a small duration is special cam.Ignition controls are also in place.Gearing also matters.The basic parts costs look appetizing,but the details costs $$$$$.

 

One other thing.WHO THE HELL is selling the idea blown anything is a quick way to hp on today's gas.Either your pressurizing a cylinder with a C/R or with a turbo,it's the same damm thing.There ARE the same compromises you have to make with 93 octane gas.Using a turbo doesn't suddenly make the gas better.Gezzzzz.Logic now!!!.

 

500 Hp on a set of cast pistons??. Do that and they ant going to show you much love back.Well not on my wallet.Ring gaps are set differently on turbo,blown,nitrous engines.You have to keep a clean oil source for these turbos which means you need to haft life oil.

I think overall what irritates me most is going into a project and before part one is bought the word "cheap" is used along with hot rodding.Most guys around me pay what it costs to reach their goals which most certainly includes long term reliability.
