Need help before i start

ok before I start i have never owned a third gen Camaro so i'm shooting in the dark. I picked up this 92 Camaro rs 25th anniversary for $600 from my sisters boyfriend, it would not run right when i got it found out he installed the fuel filter backwards and was starving it for fuel. when i put a new filter on it burned out the fuel pump and had to replace it (p.s. I have pics of the acess panel i cut to replace the fuel pump and can put those pics on also if anyone needs them for reference to do the same just let me know and ill put em up A.S.A.P0. Ok i know the rims are not correct but he sent a set of 78 Ta rims for it lol. it was also hit in the front end and they replaced the front clip minus the hood from a 92 z28 25th anniversary.

Now sadly it only has a 3.1 V6 in it and i absoultly hate it there are no mods out there for it to make it faster so im gonna try to do a carb'd 350 engine swap in it, now i was told i will have to swap out the front K-frame to accomidate the v8 and im not sure if it is true or not, or if i can order a set of v8 swap motor mounts and then have at it. now i already have a th350 turbo tranny im gonna bolt up to it just trying to find out if i have to change anything wireing harness wise to make the engine start properly. once i start this if anyone needs a 3.1v6 replacement let me know ill be happy to sell it it only has 150k on it. any and all help on this matter would be appreciated,

Re: Need help before i start

You have several questions but first the K member does not neet to be swapped out for a V8. For the older gen1 350 swaps you will need to move the motor mounts from the rear holes to the front holes and bend/reroute the brake lines. You will need the V8 clam shells that mount to the motor. Most likely will want V8 coil springs up front with the swap.
For a carb will either need a return style fuel pressure regulator or take stock fuel pump out and extend pick up tube (preferally with an intank sock filter) and reroute and use a block mounted fuel pump.
For the wiring you would need to extend the V6 gauge sending unit wires and be sure to use the original coil wires to your new setup as you have your power needs and tach wires there. After it is running and everything working right then if you want you can remove all wires that are not needed or tuck them out of the way. Fuel pump wiring will need to be dealt with if using the stock in tank pump.
A turbo 350 will bolt up to the V8 but may need a new tranny mount and torque arm brackets.
The 95 engine is an LT1 5.7 and can be swapped in but you will need to look at the wiring as you will need an adapter harness or adapt the 95 harness to your car yourself. Read up on LT1 swaps.
Good luck and let us know what you are going to do so we can try to give specific guidance as needed.
